Game Design Level 11: Final
Title: Bob Stickmen Against the world
Platform: PC only
Age: 13 to 19
Rating: Teen
Ready to ship -Unknown
In Bob Stickmen Against the World player would have to deal with some platforms that would test your skill from their platform ability while dealing with enemies trying to kill you. Now, when it comes to the reward system would be interesting because there would be only one reward system that would be given at the end of the game by playing another Bob Stickmen that would be strong but lack the jump ability. There would be a start in which the story would be how two Bob would be trying to get back home from a strange land. There would be very little puzzle-solving that would come from platforming. The player would be trying to get back home to their own universe.
Characters:
So there would be at least two characters that would be very different from each other which the first character would be a stick figure whose backstory is how Bob Stickmen was created by an individual that was lonely and wanted a friend. Bob Stickmen would be made out of sticks and have rock has a face. Then the other Bob stick man backstory is will dose not have backstory he just exists which he would be made out of rocks. Now the two Bob abilities for this gameplay would different for both characters like the first Bob Stickman would be fast can double jump but he can be killed by every enemy. When the other Bob could take more hits but he can't double jump as high he would just fall down faster if he double jumps he would have a normal jump but this allows the second Bob to hit small enemy in one hit while the big enemy would take two to three hit.
Control:
Now, when it comes to controls for the two Bob their control would be a little bit different from each other like w would allow both Bob to walk follow and a would allow them to walk to the left and s is to going to make them to walk to the right side. This is when the differences come into play the ability for both Bob would different from each other as a top arrow key would allow the first Bob that is made out of sticks to jump and double jump when the top arrow key is press and the down arrow key would a lot the first Bob to crouch and do a prone if the down arrow key is press again. The second Bob can't prone but he can crouch if the down arrow key is press but the second Bob can punch with the left and right arrow key.
The story for Stickman against the world would kind ok have only a few chapters which would just be around ten chapters because those chapters would be only ten chapters. Then for the platform that this game would be on is going to be PC first for the controller the would not be put on the controller depending on how the game is successful on PC. The game would not have a split-screen because this would be a single-player game.
The location would tie into my story by having the character talking to himself about how the locations look like to his world and give comments on some locations that do not look right just by looking at them after he loses alive. The mood for the locations would have the character comment at every began of the level before the player moves the character. Some locations would have music so that each level can be different from each others. The levels would somewhat have connected to the player but not really because I want the level to be something that does not connect to the player. Checkpoint would be the helping player to know if they are also at the end.
The whole game would be a platformer in which the player would have to jump on a different platformer. The game would somewhat be Humorous because the character would be commenting when he loses alive and have to start over again. The game would look kind of like a pixel game so there would be no 3D model game. The game would not have any unique interfaces. The player would first see how to control the player character from the platformer which would help from the first level of the game. Now there would be not mood or emotion for the character but there would be a different setting for the levels which means the levels would have a different mood. There would be no minigame and the cutscenes would be text for the character talking.
Now the gameplay mechanic for the game would have the player character double jump when seeing a long area to another platform then for power up there would be a power-up that would allow the player to see a minnic/fake platform. The cards would have pit/spike pit, lava, fire, positioning, within the different levels. Now the collectible would be parts like mechanical parts that would allow the player to have a trophy of the character by collecting at least 10 of the mechanical part. Then the economic system would have a point system in which players could buy powers but when that power is gone it would not come back until there is a game over.
Now there would be at least no boss for the first Bob Stickmen but to make it up there would be a lot of enemies that would be for the first Bob Stickmen which means some enemy would be dumb like fall off the platform. But some ground enemies would chase the player from platform to platform and there would be flying enemies if you are in the air for too long. The player can't defect the enemies because the player's only goal is to get to the end of the platform.
Now there would be no multiplayer because this would be more single-player nut the player would have another character whose gameplay would be different from the first Bob Stickmen. Which the player would have access to the second Bob Stickmen but this time this Bob would be more tanker and he could be punch but the downside is that he can't jump higher. his jumps are shorter so the player would have to use an item box to use to help the second Bob to jump onto the platform.
When it comes to monetization there would be no monetization for the game because I would want to have all content be there at launch. After all, I would want to have the player have a reason to keep playing and making sure that nothing for this game would get the player's mad or have a reason to not download my game. Which means there is no monetization for the platform game.
