Journal Response Level-01: Began of an New Era
After I had read chapter 2 and 3 of Theory of Fun for Game Design and chapter 10 The Art of Game Design: A Book Lenses and I thought that some of the information had been interesting because it would show how that there are a lot of factors that a game designer have to think about their game for the players because the designers have to make sure that their games are not fun. Because this would lead to their game becoming boring and they would have to the point that they have to come up with ways to make their game fresh so that their game doesn't become forgotten. I would have to disagree with the idea when it comes to chapter 2 from Theory of Fun for Game Design because I think saying a game is boring is like saying that you know how the game mechanics work like what would be the drop rate of an item that an enemy may have on them when they are defeat in battle and etc. Which may be true I think that some boring games can have a moment for you to come back playing when they over and over again. Now when it comes to chapter 10 The Art of Game Design: A Book Lenses and the mechanic for a reward system makes me think that sometimes having a reward can be very simple like overcoming a huge challenge like how Dark Souls from Software give to the players.
