After reading "Video Game Monetization Strategies" by Chris Cobb and "Next Generation Monetization Supremacy Goods" by Ramin Shokrizade. Both of the readings would talk about monetization in video games how monetization is worked by the strategies that companies use in their game. But what the author that had talked about video game monetization is that he went into detail on how that when games have a monetization that would let players pay for items that would give them an advance within the online scene. Which many companies would argue that they should not be responsible for any gambling regulations if any of the rewards in their games are not a machine that would give back money to the player that played their games. Which the other article would bring a term that now uses for any item that will a player advance within the game that allows loot boxes which that term is called "pay to win" if the monetization strategies are not fair for the player will then the monetization strategy would have to be refixed for both company and player can be happy with the monetization. Now it not all bad because the other article will talk about how that monetization could work well by having no advance with the game could be in singer player game and even online games like how Fortnite which the item are just cosmetic item that anyone could get by having in-game currency.
